Deliverance

I got a copy from the beloved Bloodrayne. Awesome book by James Dickey. Anyone else read it? If so did you think it was better than the movie?

i read it years ago ..
I remembered both the book and the movie were equally good.

If I'm not mistaken (and i often am) I thought Dickey wrote a sequel to that book as well.

I just reread this book and I'm still as impressed as the first time 'round. I don't know if it's better than the movie - the script follows the book so well that they really complement each other.

**SPOILER**

Except that the ending of the movie's a bit different from the book.

Apparently he was asked to write a sequal.
I'm sure I have a book somewhere that is supposed to be a continuation. It must be by someone else. Or i'm completely fucked up.

Yeah. I really like the book a lot better though. They leave out a lot in the beginning of the movie.
