i didnt see AVP but i wanted to...
And then i found out it was directed by the hack that did Resident Evil 2 - (a great movie for the hard of thinking)

So I'll probably see it on dvd some day ... and maybe my expectations will be so low by then that I'll find something to like about it .. but from what I've heard - its not likely.

Anderson, Boll, and Sommers ...
3 guys who should be zombie extras - not directors.

I never claimed to have good taste in movies, but I enjoyed both for what they were.Neither is even close to horror, but just plain old action/adventure.I'm not saying I would place either one on my top 100 list(or 200 for that matter) but I don't hate them.

thats the thing about becoming an old grumpy bastard like me .. you tend to set the bar higher :)

i always expect more from a movie then what I've been getting recently ..
I agree, it wasnt a horror .. despite the zombie theme.

The one thing i did think was funny was seeing my home town (Toronto) get blown up - and looking for other recognizable locations ..

not only was it toronto .. the city hall near the end .. was actually Toronto city hall ...

if you see the shot where it explodes in the end you can clearly see the CN Tower and the Skydome (home of the once great Blue Jays) :)

DOTD was shot here, Land of the Dead is being shot here ...
I could name a dozen !
(the Fly remake .. mouth of madness)

Wait, wait, wait, Resident Evil 2 and AVP were bad movies that were only made to make money? Wow. That's some totally new and original insight you've got there, Tahman

funny, i didnt mind the 1st RE. It really had the feeling of a video game and the characters were somewhat more drawn.

I thought with RE2 they just wanted to be bad-assed - appeal to the basement dwellers who are glued to the game 24/7.

I thought it was far weaker than #1
and if you want to see Milla truely look hot .. you're better off watching the 5th Element ..
