HELP with TV series
I know it broadcasted in the 90's, and I've not seen it since.
I think it only ever went for one season, but kinda liked the idea behind it. I may be wrong, but I have an idea it might've been by Chris Carter, it was a show about a small unit of scientists that specialised in highly contagious unknown diseases, that worked on preventing or concealing outbreaks, some of the ideas in this show were actually pretty scary. (One episode MAY have been about spontaneous combustion, but I'm not 100% if this was the same series.) I simply cannot remember the name of the show, I think it MAY have had the word "RED" in the title. Anyone?

The only other show Chris Carter was involved in besides X-Files and its spinoff The Lone Gunmen was a show called Harsh Realm.

No, definately not that one, I know the lone gunmen...
It was maybe called redzone or red squad...something like that... For the record, Carter WAS involved in more shows than just that though, he was behind one called "Dark skies" for one...however, I'm not sure about him being involved with the show I'm talking about, just a feeling I have... Man, I hope someone can tell me what show I'm referring to

I think the show you are reffering to was called "The Burning Zone" it ran on the UPN network in the early 90's for one season.

Finally someone who knows what I was talkin' about! I checked imdb to be sure, and this DOES sound like the one. I guess I had "red" in mind being "hot"....hot > burning....ah, whatever....anyway, u get me. Did you see it yourself? I only got 3 episodes before they ripped it off the air over here...but I always wanted to see the rest, I guess at least now I know the name with which to start my search...somebody must have tapes, dvds or vcds of it out there somewhere... I really enjoyed what I saw, but I'm not sure what I would think of it now, not being in my early teens...can you remember much of it yourself? Did you like it?

That's what I thought too, but I checked it out, and the phantomstranger has definately got this one...
Apparently the show kinda died. Unfortunate. A lot of decent ideas just don't work longterm I guess...
