The use of external articles as BLUDGEONS and so forth, I might point out that even animals will adopt the basic use of tools in this manner. Intelligence? Seemingly little or no REASONING power...

thanks for that... and how totally irellevant, a zombie using a gun compared to a zombie using a tool, i.e. a bat or other thing like that, when we all know that zombies can in fact do that, if you'd have seen night of the living dead you'd have known that... remember? the little girl who got bit, and was down there with her mom, and she picks up the garden hoe thingy and kills her? yeah... exactly...

with my complements i bestow to you, a bottle of 37 years too late

Actually, my previous post was just a quote from a certain movie.

************

I've been thinking about it, and you know, overall, if I could influence the storytelling of the "Dead" films, I would say "no" to the gun thing. I can handle Bub now, many years later, but I didn't like him back then.

Bub is a special zombie, Logan's friend, and a pretty swell guy. I think eventually they could have taught him to eat Beef Treats instead of people, and eventually they could have unchained him so he could do chores around the cave, you know, like sweeping, cleaning the bathrooms, and so on. Bub lived at the end, of course, so I imagine that he probably taught the other zombies to read and write.

This thread seems to be an examination of how the viewers of the films interpret the myth, and what they consider believable within the context of the myth...it's funny how much a person can care about the media crap they watch! For example, it really deeply bothers a lot of people that VAN HELSING was a piece of crap. It's just a movie. Why is a movie so important?

I have always felt that a decent movie will sort of get inside your head and convince you of its reality to the point that you wonder about the details the film isn't telling you.

Like, let's say that Medusa's stare can turn you to stone. Okay, sure. But...will it work if you see her reflection in a mirror? How about in a puddle of water? Will a photograph of her stare turn you to stone? (Or, will you stare at a photograph of Sharon Stone?) Maybe a photo will work, but how about a 2nd generation photocopy of that photo? Will that turn you into Shredded Wheat?

I
because the hype builds up our anticipation .. we get all excited about a huge budget frankenstain/vampire/werewolf movie (a huge treat for a horror fan) with a star we all like ...

and then we for out our money ($13 each here and add 35$ for the babysitter)

and then we are presented with mind bending garbage ...
i didnt want to hate it - i went though a lot of money, trouble, and 2 hours of my life ... why would i want to waste that - just to jump on the hate bandwagon ...

i saw it before i heard a single negative thing and left the theatre feeling embarrased that i saw it ...

thats why it was important to me that it should be a good movie ... I dont enjoy bad movies !!
