And last but not least, educate them with some cult classics:
Dawn of the Dead (Original)
Night of the Living Dead (original may bore them being black and white, so in a last ditch effort go for Savini's re-make)
Oh, I'm jus going down the zombie path-just go for the early George A stuff and you'll be fine!
As far as Im cincerned, Savini's version is almost as good anyway. The original is better of course, but Savini's is a fantastic remake.

I agree, Savini is fantastic in everyway possible, god the mans CV must read like a dream, he does the things that I may only dream of.

But like you said the original is slightly better. I really like the remake, as the charater progression and developoment suits me more, being female I'd like to think that I would take some form of action during a zombie invasion, rather then just stare at the walls!

What do you think about the 3D re-make, I have quite a few problems with it!

i have some younger kids in my family, 12-16 year olds. they love scary movies and thought it would be fun to rent a bunch of movies to scare the shit out of them for the next few weeks. of course the only "horror" movies they have been exposed to are movies like saw or the ring, so i want to stay in that realm of horror/suspense, just something really scary.

gore, rating, etc doesn't matter so suggest anything. thanks everyone.
try stephen kings silver bullet i saw it wen i was and i was as scared as fuck!!

I watch a lot of movies with a 14 yr. old, so these are the ones that she liked:)

Creepshow
Scream
Nightmare on Elm Street
Jeepers Creepers
The Fog (original)
Darkness Falls (Eventhough, I thought it was terrible!)
House on Haunted Hill (remake, not the Vincent Price version)
Terror Train

Hope that helps!
