Maybe you didn't see it as a child - Regan's decomposing face, yellow eyes and jolting bursts of speaking in a man's voice are all terribly chilling.

Argento at least has the balls (probably against all production advice) to hit us with some of the heavy stuff when we least expect it - poor dead Donald Pleasance carried away to blasting Motorhead in Phenomena? Top stuff.

they were both really scarey the 1990's version of the Texas Chainsaw Masacure version was funny.

As far as the topic goes, Ive been scared once, and once alone. Most of the movie was boring as fuck, but the last 15 or some min, the tension waas enough to provoke a glimmer of fear deep inside of me. The Blair Witch Project, and I am now eternally greatefull to that movie.

No, I think I have also become immune to actual scares in a movie. TCM, Exorcist, Psycho, Halloween....All awesome, but scary? No.

Not at all - this is the best sequel to the original; scary, unpredictable, gory (and even toned down before its release by the distributors) and with a pounding update of Carpenter's unnerving theme tune.
