where's the horror...?

hi. i am PeeMonster....

lately i found i cant relly enjoy horror movies...

i've been looking for the right one, but it seem nothing has the proper 'bite'.

i really like to get scared...

the grudge was not scary....
the thing was cute.

i seen saw...
it was very technical and interesting but.... i wouldnt say i was horrified... a lot of the time, i was giggling at the doll riding the bike...

i tried watching Scream 3... the suspense was amazing.. but you know... the sense of its outdated, bad acting, whatever...

i have yet to find my true horror.
chuckie movies have become more comedy than scarey.

same with freddy vs. jason.

it seems they just want make people laugh rather than scare....

or have i just gon entirely numb?

if anyone can recommended a not-outdated, suspenseful, well executed horror film, i will be the happiest monster on the planet.

Love Always,
Pee<3

It's hard to find a horror movie that will actually "scare" anyone who is used to them, it's just not possible anymore.

You can, however, find some enjoyable horror films that are more gritty and not the usual overdose of comedy. There's a difference between some comedy elements and too much.

anyway, try the Ginger Snaps series. Takes a fresh look at the werewolf myths and is not the usual fare, especially the third installment. I also thoroughly enjoyed Jeepers Creepers, although you will find the second one to be more "Hollywood".

Hope that helps

I'm afraid this is true...However, Dog Soldiers fucking ROCKED...and I absolutely LOVED May, for sooo many reasons...Not scary, though...Sorry...

"PeeMonster"?

there are disturbing horrors
there are 'effectively done' horrors
There are atmospheric horrors ..

but i havent been scared since the face hugger popped onto John Hurt's helmet in Alien ... and that wasnt actually scared .. that was startled.

I dont find any movie scary ... havent for years.
Once you hit the wall ... a combination of knowing what to expect, and the constant realization that 'it's just a movie'
.. i think its impossible to be scared at a movie again.

Its part of the jaded world of growing up.

and yeah ...'peemonster' ?
who calls themselves peemonster ?

people who like to be peed on ?
Or people who do the peeing ?

I figured she was young...it's us long in the tooth jaded fans who cant be scared anymore but judging from her complaint - she's about to cross that bridge as well..

too bad .. i remember being scared many years ago - and it was fun.

Now my fears centre around my child - should anything bad ever happen to him.

Movie scares are far more fun than the adult fears.

Jacobs Ladder is a little disturbing. I'm assuming you have already seen The Shining. You know what? Nothing is really scary anymore. It kind of sucks. How about Suspiria? Or The Beyond? Give them a try if you can stand dubbed english.

i collect italian horror ..

they are fun and atmospheric but anything but scary.

TheOmen 11-22-2004 12:11 PM

In comparison to what was mentioned, they're downright horrifying. But yeah, I guess nothing is scary. But you never know, being young , PeeMonster may find them a little chilling. Some people , less jaded I suppose, find Suspiria very scary.
