One was supposed to be female but the audience legitimately responded more to Pinhead. The other recurring monsters, werewolves, vampires etc. have various incarnations and don't count towards either gender. So what we're left with is Freddy, Jason (The first one was his mother), Michael and if you want to count the Phantasm movies we can add the Tall Man, but he gets so little publicity why even bother with him?
Regarding Phantasm, Reggie was hot!!!!! :p

No, Not ALL. Teenagers arent that damn important. I have rented my share of movies as an adult. So, I'm paying their bills too.

but the slasher movies, Freddy, Jason, Michael, those are marketed towards the teen audience because that's mostly who goes to see them. Saying teen ones don't count is bullshit because that eliminates 95% of all of them, not just the Scream generation ones

Incorrect. You must remember that Freddy, Jason, and Michael were first created before most of todays teenagers were even born. They were targeted at the teenagers from past decades, who grew up, like myself, and are still fans because we grew up with them. Please, my bedroom wall was COVERED with Freddy posters when I was 14, and I'm still a fan now. Now multiply that times 1,000,000,000,000 Nuff said.

Exactly. They were marketed towards the teenagers of the time. They are all marketed towards the teenagers of the time. John Hughs movies are teen movies, because the teenagers of the time were the ones who they were made for. But nevertheless, they are still marketed, targeted, all of that, towards the TEENAGERS. That's my point. You can't discard the teen horror movies because the ones we're talking about are/were all teen movies.

So, your in the same time zone as I.

PS The older audiance still contributes a great deal of profit to the horror flick. We are not to be dismissed.

no

im not talking about teen movies like who they are marketed for

im talking teen movies like whos in em

like ... whats that one with the vampires. starts with O. anyways they were like 3 stupid kids after graduating on a road trip adn run into vampires.

then scream and iknowehwat u did and those were just stupid kids trying to party. cabin fever

THATS what im talking about teen movies.

which is why i say they dont count. cuz those are gay
lets make another movie about dumbasses on their way to college who decide to party and then run into blah blah blah

and when im talking chick i mean like a monster chick. i seen a few of the chicks and samara was kinda nasty but even see was just a corpse. how about a burned one. or one with a hockey mask. or one that looks lieka lawn mower
