Ahh That would be because the industry rarely writes screenplays which involve a female monster leading role. LOL MEN

I didn't see Urban Legend or Scream 2. In Fact, I was never interested in ANY of the Scream films. I saw the others though, most were lame though. they were never ongoing monsters, like Freddy for instance. They never had more than one film.

yeh but they dont make em nasty like freddy, well exorcist maybe but for the most part theyre just lame

truth be told there are fiew real recurring monsters. Some get a sequel, but there are really 4, maybe 5 real recurring monsters that have the same identity. One was supposed to be female but the audience legitimately responded more to Pinhead. The other recurring monsters, werewolves, vampires etc. have various incarnations and don't count towards either gender. So what we're left with is Freddy, Jason (The first one was his mother), Michael and if you want to count the Phantasm movies we can add the Tall Man, but he gets so little publicity why even bother with him?
