Are you buying or renting?

My husband is a loan officer with a mortgage co. and his parent company is in Raleigh, NC.
So he knows what's out there, what's affordable, what would be the wrong place to rent/buy etc etc...
I also know a few things if you have some questions ,because as much as I tune him out, oodles of information concerning the house market is just sitting here in my brain...

....anyway...just PM me, I'll give you my email addy and we would be glad to help.....:)

But seriously. You've mentioned your frustration with your job before, so it's about damn time and Sense of Security is absolutely priceless. Congratulations, Vod. You deserve it. :D

Thank you everyone. The funny thing is, this means about a $6+ an hour paycut, and i now have to drive 30 minutes to work instead of walk across the room.

And i couldnt be happier :)

the best part is how i NAILED it. I was approached by a recruiter i had spoken to during a dry period back in december. i got a phone interview, but that was as far as it went. this time, he called (last week i think), and he sent my resume in to them.

After seeing my resume, the CIO of the company wanted to screen me. I had/have a big project out on a bid, and i am already working a part time gig from home, so i didnt NEED this job, so when they wanted to talk to me at 4pm on a day I was watching Lily because Bree had work, I said, cant do it.

So, they asked if I could do it the next day; teh CIO said after readin my resume, they needed to give me an opportunity to talk to them. :)

So i do the phone screen, and he wants to meet me for a face to face, THE NEXT DAY.

Anyone who has been through the interview process even once in the corporate world knows what a big deal that is. So i do my interview today, and as far as I was concerned, i nailed it, good.

But I keep calm, i have backup, so if i didnt get it, i blew 90 minutes of my life. We drove down to tewksbury mass to have lunch at IHOP, and it was an awesome lunch. Country fried steak breakfast with sausage on the side and some wheat toast.

The waitress was awesome and completely taken with lily. she got a 25% tip.(would have been higher, but money has been tight)

We get home, bree is getting ready for work, when my phone rings. Its the recruiter's backup, telling me they want to "extend to me the offer of the position", IE, they interviewed you and a bunch of others, and they want you. Same day callback, big fucking deal number 2.

SO, on the 25th, i start my new job as a programmer for these people, and if the rest of the team is like the two who interviewed me, its going to be a good time :)
