Do you have any suggestions?

And If I don't like the movies you suggested, Should I even bother coming to this forum?

And, it's true, I can't distinguish my choices in horror. I'm mainly a random type of guy, I'd watch any movies besides oldies. Maybe I can't stand the quality. (There's only been 3 movies I've seen that I didn't like: The two I mentioned earlier, and Babel.
Why wouldn't you want to expand your boundaries? It's stupid to not want to imo. I mean, come on, you're watching trash and liking it because you haven't seen anything better. I mean, for example, The Return is I think one year younger than me, and he has seen practically every classic horror, and loves the style. Age doesn't matter at all, it's taste. Try something new, sheesh. It's almost blasphemous what you came here with:rolleyes:

Next you'll be telling us you thought House of the Dead was Oscar-worthy.

HINT: Get past your chronic hate for movies older then 2000. Because quite honestly such a limit is absurd. Go watch...

Evil Dead I & II.
Return of the Living Dead.
Dead Alive.

If you absolutely cannot... then try watching these post-2000 movies.

Jeepers Creepers
Joy Ride
SAW II & III
The Devil's Rejects

i'm not sure if this is a hoax but for arguments sake i'm gonna reply like it isn't. if you are only 14 then that probably explains your blinkered attitude towards the oldies, but pre 2000 includes a lot of recenties. i don't really understand why production quality would put you off. one of the most successful movies of recent years was BWP and it was docu-horror. also, if you are a horror fan you are really limiting your enjoyment of the genre by boycotting anything that isn't glossy. try and look 'at what lies beneath'. i do agree with one thing you said, house of 1000 corpses does lose its way.
also, here are some movies you should watch that are from the dark ages of pre 2000. watch them for two good reasons. firstly, you won't be able to join in on many threads if you don't and secondly it'll go some way to rebuilding your credibility.
1, the exorcist. 2, the omen trilogy. 3, the fri13ths. 4, NOES's. 5, halloweens. 6, zombie. 7, suspiria. 8, the wickerman. 9, a clockwork orange. 10, cannibal holocaust. 11, ringu. 12, black christmas. 13, psycho. 14, TCM. 15, nosferatu.
the list is endless, but if i had to recommend a foundation, this would be it. finally, you should watch whatever makes you happy but if i were you i'd hold my own council in here rather that sweep in and rubbish the history of horror on my first day. lol. on the plus side, your first thread has made an impact. good luck noob!

you thought touristas was good i the idea was good but the acting was garbage and it was a half hour too short
but defenetly watch the EXORSIST
HERE IS AN IDEA There is a shit movie called the Exorcist the begining it was made last couple years so you might like it (2000's)
watch that than watch the original and maybe that will help you see the difference of how an old movie is mutch better than a new one in that example

also what you are proving is that hollywood can put ourt junk that teens will watch and like and call it a good movie just bcause a small age group will like it because there are some tits in it

if you like 2000 or newer than why not 1999 see it only one year or 1998 that is only one more year see what i mean you can't limit your self like that go back to all the old stuff

i haven't sen the desent yet but is sounds like this book i read by the same name but just changed to make a film version if you can't get pasted the first 10 minutes that you might have some kind of attention problem

chech out all the asian horror too a lot of it is better than the american stuff

and watch SAW that film is great just because it was done by 2 film students

Wait... Just go watch the Scream trilogy... they are close to your stupid boundary, and they would probably suit your fill.

You refuse to watch anything before the year 2000?

Does that mean that you are not even willing to give them a try?
