Talking Since I Own The Damn Thing

Yes in my opinion the set is worth the money. Its a nice set with a few features & gathers the movies in one place. Nice once in awhile to kick back, grab your lady, & throw the set into the dvd player. There is nothing like having her dig her hands into your arm the first time the chest burster comes popping out. :D
Besides Aliens is a kick ass space marine movie. At least the 1st half is. The second half is better. :p

The Alien Movies --- Music

One of the most underrated things about these movies is the music. Its in the background but it has alot of atmosphere. It really sets the tone for whats coming. One of the things I found is how much of a difference this makes with surround sound. Its nice to see someone lift off their seat when the scares start. :p

Alien

The director's cut of Alien includes scenes that were in the book version of the movie by Allen Dean Foster. Two of the crew are "alive" & being turned into eggs. Yes I realize that Aliens established the entire face hugger to chest burster thing but this is the '79 version. :D
Then Ripley turns her old crewmates to ash.
The soundtrack was great too. :D Theres another scene where Ripley gets bitch slapped by the other female crewmate. :D

All of films have a director's cut with scenes that were shot but taken out of the film. In Aliens there was a lot of shit shot that didn't make it in, I think close to an hour of deleted footage. The part I wish they would have put in the original film was the part when Berk shows Riply a photo of her dead daughter. I think this scene would have set a better stage for the mother figure that Riply played with Nuet.

In Alien 3 we get to see the Queen face hugger which looked bad ass!

Dude

Yes & the scene where Birk & Ripley are in the park is in the Director's cut & helps to round out the movie. Infact it does more than that it shows what helped to push Ripley over the edge. The loss of her daughter & lifetime she spent in cryo. Just another piece of her life taken away by the Alien.. Besides it has one of my favorite lines in the review of her case, " You can kiss all of this bullshit good bye if just one of those things makes it back to Earth." :p
