Sounds good. I was never a fan of the Aliens series until recently after I watched the original one in the theatres and then saw the second one on HBO. I've never seen Aliens 3, but I did see Ressurection like 5 years ago or something like that.

i would like to know if that individual dvd is the same as the one in the box set. i think that the ones individual are the same as in the box set with nothing extra right but u can buy maybe one and not the box set?

i would like to know if its the same to but the 4 individualy or the box set with the same special features extended cut with directors cut etc....

The Uk R2 Alien Quadrilogy contains the single Uk R2 Directors Cut Extended cuts. Along with extras on the discs. The set also includes a bonus disc.

If you want better sound, then I'd suggest getting the Japanese Ultimate editions, if you can find them, which all contain a dts track.

Chaos17 11-07-2005 12:06 PM

so the box set is the same as the indivdual one with no extra thing on each right?

also is the sound very improtant to get the japanese version?

which version would u get the box set or the indivdual ones?

i want the one with the one thats got the most of everything.

directors cut, deleted scenes, extended edition, special features etc....

wat would u pick the box set.

also the box set has 9 cds so 2 scd for each film plus one extra?

Prelude95Si 11-07-2005 12:44 PM

Well I got the box set when it came out and I was very happy with it. It had the theatreical cut and the directors cut on the first disc per movie. Then a second disc with special features. And the 9th disc with trailers and stuff. The indiviual 2 disc movies with the Fox # on the side are the same as whats in the box set.

I would only get indiviual movies if you don't like various movies in the series. If you are a fan of the whole thing like me then go fro the set b/c its cheaper in the long run.

Chaos17 11-07-2005 12:48 PM

it cheaper plus the box set has a few more things than the 2004 indvidual version right?

if i am right i will get it for christmas

Prelude95Si 11-07-2005 02:15 PM

The Box has the 9th disc which has trailers and an interview with Ridely Scott. Thats about it. I got mainly b/c it was the only version I could find on DVD at the time I was looking. The Alien Legacy Box set had been pulled from the shelves b/c of the Quadrilogy.

When you watch Alien 3, check out the quick glimps they give you of the Queen face huger. Its preety sweet.

Buy the Quadrilogy.... as said, all contain both theatrical and directors cuts, with all the extras, plus the bonus disc. It will also work out cheaper than buying them individually.

as for the better sound, by the sounds of it the Quadrilogy with 5.1 audio will be fine for you.... Unlesss, your surround system has a dts decoder.
