Most gruesome way to go?

What can you imagine to be the most gruesome or horrific way to go? You can reference a film, story you read, or make it up fresh.

For me, although not very imaginative, being consumed alive by a horde of the living dead is pretty disturbing.

Also, being dragged into the open chest cavity of a corpse via it's living, anaconda-sized intestine (a la "Reanimator") is not too pleasant either.

and last but not least, being lost on a desserted island, finding what you believe to be sanctuary only to find out later you are trapped in the middle of a couple hundred cannibalistc midgets that havent eaten in ages.
