Haha I don't remember too much of that one might give it a DL.

Always been fond of Harley Davidson & The Marlboro Man... you'd probably get a kick out of it.

I have already broken down why I hate Terminator Salvation. There was virtually nothing good about this movie. Terminator 3 was far superior to Terminator Salvation. Granted of the original three it is my least favorite, I thoroughly enjoyed the third one. Most of the plot of Salvation did not make sense and the characters were greatly underdeveloped (I consider plot and character development to be very important, especially in a movie series like the Terminator). It was not particularly entertaining either. Honestly, i'm shocked that anyone actually liked this movie.

Rise of the Machines was ridiculous. At least Salvation took itself seriously. ROTM was a big joke, it was like a parody of the Terminator movies. John Connor became a big whimpering baby and was pushed to the side in favor of Kate who was really annoying. As for your comments on acting in Salvation, the acting wasn't much better in ROTM either, neither was the story. Salvation wasn't good but it was a little better then ROTM at least.

Well, I disagree. The acting in three was not great, but it was much better than in Salvation. Additionally, the story was believable, granted it did stretch things, but was not completely implausible. Salvation barely had a story and likewise barely had any acting. There was too much focus on action, instead of character development and story. I came into the film really excited, only to be supremely disappointed. As I mentioned, the sky was blue after a nuclear war, this is one of the most implausible things to have occurred in film history. Another thing was that Conner kept relying on the recordings of his mother, which would have made sense if two and three did not happen. But, they did. In fact, he had as much, if not more experience with the machines as his mother, so why does he keep looking to her tapes for advice about the machines? If this was just for sentimental value it would be fine, but he was actually using it for advice about the machines.

Im not arguing if Salvation was good, i didnt hate it but i was disappointed in it. I just liked it over ROTM. Just like you have your reasons for not liking Salvation, i have my reasons for not liking ROTM. In my opinion ROTM did not have a believable story and i hated all the silly antics. It was just dumb. I don't blame you for not liking Salvation, just surprised you would grade it above ROTM. But to each their own.

I am not attempting to convert you to my way of thinking, I am merely breaking down the reasons why I thought 3 was better than 4 or more accurately what was terrible about 4. I definitely agree that experience of films are subjective, regardless to what critics might argue. You can point to specific things into films, but how much this impacts your opinion of the film definitely varies.
