I'd like to back Son of Frankenstein and The Old Dark House. Like NE said, they both contain so much popular imagery of horror cinema, and The Old Dark House especially set a template that would be used time and time again.

I've been away a while V and haven't sent any votes on this one...do you want a full list?
Or do you just want like 2 votes from the debatable or minority list? If you just need 2 more votes Son Of Frankenstein and The Old Dark House work for me as well. Last edited by realdealblues; 01-16-2013 at 07:01 AM. |

Hey realdealblues welcome back!
You can send me your lists from all the periods of this first era, and also welcome to chip in with your thoughts for this selection process as well. You will find the Master Lists for the first 3 periods - 1890s to 1920s, 1930s and 1940s in the previous pages. Go through them and send me your choice of top 20 films from each period.

Done. List duly edited.
Thank you to realdealblues for submitting the 8th list of choices for the 1940s. Still waiting on Despare, Chronogrl and others for their lists from the 40s. We still have a week to go.

Thanks to Despare for submitting the 9th list of choices from the 1940s, and to realdealblues for submitting lists for the 30s and the first period.
We are still debating for the final 2 spots from the 1930s. Anyone else willing to second the backed choices?

As things stand right now, there is a tussle between The Testament of Dr. Mabuse, The Ghoul & The Invisible Ray for the final 2 spots in the chosen 20 from the 1930s. (that is, if anyone doesn't second any of the other backed choices)
Feel free to throw your weight behind any of these choices.
