Fassbender game for 'Assassin's Creed'
Thesp to star in, co-produce bigscreen adaptation of vidgame

Normally, covering up any part of Michael Fassbender‘s face is a bad call, but in this case, we can make an exception: The multilingual actor has signed up to star and co-produce a feature film adaptation of the blockbuster videogame Assassin’s Creed.

The story follows a seemingly regular guy who learns his ancestors were leaders of the shadowy brotherhood of Assassins, known for their hooded cloaks and sworn to battle the famed (and, in this iteration, nefarious) Knights Templar.

Game publisher Ubisoft is developing the project independently, though it had previously been in talks with Sony Pictures. No writer or director has yet been attached.

Fassbander would be great for the lead. I think he has the talent & physically fit to play most of the popular lead or 'hero' sort of roles for Hollywood...even can be the next BATMAN or Bond (respectively after the Bale & Craig era)! :)

Well, we'll never really know unless we see this in action. I'm still excited though, Assassin's creed is a really cool game, I hope the movie won't disappoint me.

If done right an Assassin's Creed movie would be a special effects, splatter action flick powerhouse. I'm interested in this.
