Damn.... Carpenter has made a bunch of my favourite horror movies, but I think Hitchcock is the better director. I think I'm gonna even things up and vote for Hitchcock.

Sir Alfred Hitchcock - 6 (roshiq, neverending, newb, Straker, fortunato, The Villain)
John Carpenter - 4 (Disease, Geddy, realdealblues, CaptainSpaulding)
Lucio Fulci - 1 (wizard of gore)

Sir Alfred Hitchcock wins, and moves into the Final.

Well, Whale directed my favorite horror film...

Romero directed one really great movie, a couple of really good movies, a bunch of okay movies, and some kinda sucky movies...

Htchcock rarely failed, and at his best, was pure genius. His influence cannot be overestimated.

I'll have to vote for Sir Alfred.

Whale directed my favorite movie as well...

Hitchcock was one of the greatest directors of all time...

But again as this is a "Horror Director's Tournament" I have to go...

George A. Romero!!!

Bah- Romero's been directing the same movie for the past 25 years. He's creatively bankrupt. Of the three choices, he's the worst director.

But then again... this IS HDC.

Hitchcock..... The reason I voted Argento over Romero in the previous round was basically for the reasons outlined above.
