It can't hurt to ask El Gato to make V an Admin... I'd honestly be surprised if this was something he couldn't do; I assume Admins can update member permissions.

No thanks.

We need a couple more Mods, and if the admin sets the New Member Registration Status to "Subject to Moderator Approval," that should take care of most, if not all, problems.

Well, it couldn't hurt to have an Admin who is actually active on the forum, even if it isn't you.
