I really enjoyed Halloween 3. I thought it was great fun. Not a masterpiece by any means, but really entertaining.

1983 really wasn't a great year, but it also had Videodrome, Christine, Sleepaway Camp, and Of Unknown Origin.

I think i compare it to the first Halloween too much which i shouldn't considering it had nothing to do with it. I'd probably be able to enjoy it if i could learn to separate it.

I think a lot of people do that which is why it gets clobbered as much as it does.

Someone here probably knows the story, but I remember hearing that John Carpenter originally intended to make the Halloween movies as stand alone, Halloween themed stories.

I remember hearing about that too. I guess Michael Myers was just too popular.

1983 for me as well, Sleepaway Camp is by far my favorite of the ones I've seen.

Halloween III fucking rules. The original concept for the series was really interesting but the public just wanted the same old bullshit all over again...
