I think he was likely one of the "smarter" ones, not that this says all that much...but to have stayed ahead of capture for that long...though, it makes you think, a lot of his time and resources would likely have been spent on that rather than "masterminding", so while they've got their "villain" which I'm sure will be good for morale, or even a sense of purpose for some of the troops, essentially I'd say for quite a while he's just been the guy getting terrorist props for havng something to do with 9/11 and not much more.
I've thought what will likely happen as a result of this, isn't a hellstorm or whatever they called it, but there will probably be some sloppy "angry" attacks taken out or attempted by those who supported his cause...

As evil as he may have been, still gotta feel bad for his 12 year old daughter who saw him get shot.

I dont feel sorry for any of them. At 12 no doubt her mindset would have been just as fucked up as his.

Is that their fault? A child watching their father get killed is brutal no matter what. They hardly had a choice of their upbringing.

Apparently Al-Quaeda have confirmed this news is true. I'm sure someone will take his place with a retaliation attack...that#s the worrying thing. If anything fear of terrorists has grown with Binlid's death.
