Attack The Block

Hearing a lot of good things about this nifty little film by debutant writer/director Joe Cornish.

Hopefully, we will come back here to talk about how awesome it will turn out to be.

Soon.

"Attack the Block" opens May 13 in the United Kingdom and was recently purchased by Screen Gems for United States distribution. It has yet to receive a release date.

It's a rather low-budget modest offering. I doubt they could afford to sign up Simon Pegg, who might be expensive these days, considering the success he's having.

I am pretty pumped for this one. Some other UK sites are raving about it. :)

I'm looking forward to this, it looks pretty good.

Nick Frost can hold his own anyway, he did fine without Simon Pegg when he was on Man Stroke Woman.

Thats my feelings too.

Nick Frost has got to be the most useless actor out there,he isn't funny and he cant act for toffee.
This movie,be it good or bad would do far better if they had someone else starring in it other than Frost.

I don't think Nick Frost has a starring role in this, judging by the trailer.

He is a part of the cast so they have given him top billing to advertise the movie a bit in the UK, where he is somewhat popular as Simon Pegg's movie partner.

It is a low budget film and needs every sort of advertising it can get to have more viewers watch it. I am actually happy that Screen Gems in the US has acquired rights to it and is willing to release it there, that way the rest of the world can get to see it wherever Screen Gems has it's tentacles in (hopefully India has a release too!).

Film's all about the kids in the block who defend it from the aliens. Should be a sweet little close encounter.

Meh, I liked the TV show he had, made me and the missus laugh some. This looks good, looks like he's just a part of the group though and not the lead actor. "Is it safe?" Szell he's not but that was good.
