Help with a tabletop game?
Trying to set a Call of Cthulhu game in California during the 1800's. If anyone can give me info on folklore of that time and that area (or Lovecraft stories that deal with it) I would appreciate it. Been trying, coming up short.

Being the 1800s in California perhaps Cthulhu could be linked to the gold rush.

Well you could always base something around Alcatraz, the 1800 is before the prison was build, however the island itself was believed to be filled with evil Spirits by the local Indians and they used the place to banish members of their own tribe to if they committed crimes. They called the island Ohlone.
