Woman Jailed for Not Returning DVDs on Time!
IOWA CITY (AP) - An Iowa City woman is charged with theft for allegedly failing to return 53 DVDs she borrowed from the local public library.
Authorities say Saira Virginia Denny-Cline was charged late Tuesday for failing to return the DVDs, due back at the library on Oct. 2. According to police, the Iowa City Public Library staff sent a certified letter to Denny-Cline noting the items were "long overdue." The letter said the 53 DVDs, valued at $1,360, were to be returned or paid for within two weeks of the notice. Court records indicate the notices also said a lack of action would result in the case being pursued as theft. The 23-year-old woman was being held Wednesday in lieu of a $7,500 in the Johnson County Jail. A telephone call to Denny-Cline's attorney, Dennis Cohen, was not immediately returned. http://www.kcrg.com/news/local/79435482.html

How many dvds does that library allow out at a time,that's outrageous,and very stupid of the lady,just return the dvds or replace them.

Fair enough. It is theft you can't expect to not get in the shit for keeping 53 DVDs. Just another fuckwit who things borrowing things means they can keep them. I hope she rots in there dumb bitch.
