			Resurrecting this thread as I FINALLY watched The Children and was definitely impressed. Thanks, Ferox for the rec. It's interesting to read this thread and to see how polarized people are with this... I thought that this was a fantastic flick and exactly what indie horror films should be. It's interesting; my boyfriend found it so/so and said that it was difficult to suspend his disbelief; it's an issue that he generally has when watching film where children are the "monsters." I generally concur, but I thought that The Children was highly successful in creating a threat out of the kids. I didn't doubt the horror for a moment. I also didn't doubt any of the actions of the parents. This was definitely a well-crafted movie. |
