Broken Cross also called a Neronic Cross or a Stipe The Broken Cross has Pagan roots, being the inverse of the Pythagorean symbol for life and Teutonic rune of death, and is vogue with Wiccans and Satanists. It can represent the antithesis of all that Christianity stands for. Some see breaking a cross as a way to protest against Christianity. The Broken Cross has been called a Neronic Cross or Nero's Cross in recognition of Nero's attempt to suppress the rise of Christianity (see St. Peter's Cross). I had to crawl through some dodgy religious sites for that snippet. As a fervent athiest, I like the anti-christianity aspect. :)

You could have also looked up divinatory runes, though.

Jeez, okay...I get it...I'm stupid
I still like the pentagram better though :p :D OH, I just wanted to add that when I was in Sunday school (a LONG time ago), we were told that the regular right-side up 'peace symbol' was an 'upside-down broken cross' which represented the denial of Christ in favor of nature...That was supposed to be how hippies were viewed, as Godless nature freaks...Just saying...

Weird. Once more the church drowns in its own illogic. If anything, inverting the broken cross indicates an appreciation of Christian values, or a rejection of Viking values. I've often felt that hippies and vikings would be natural enemies.

LEADERBOARD UPDATE
FOUR entries in so far. I must say, some of you are pretty innovative at finding some unique answers, ergo those which arent the real ones. I have exclaimed "Whoa!" twice.

MEANWHILE...
***LIVE FEED - BATTLE ROYALE II CENTER CAM #67 (1737 Hrs - 1813 Hrs)*** All the contestants roamed around, poring over the latest Challenge. They were in smaller groups of twos now, while some sat alone, away from the rest. MISSMACABRE walked aimlessly towards the closed sheds of the Battle Royale II compound. She was engrossed in the wordsearch puzzle so deeply that she failed to realise she was very near the forbidden areas of the compound. Just then, the container in front of her shook and made a noise, making her jump out of her thoughts. She was intrigued, and began to wonder about what kind of stuff the BR II unit keeps under lock and key in this area. Her curiosity got the better of her, and she walked forward to the nearest closed container. A faint smell of burnt ammo hit her nostrils. She suddenly had a thought that maybe this was where all the weapons were kept. With a faint smile, she looked at the lock. It was a numbers-combination one. She tried a few combos but it didnt open. Then she put her ears to the lock, and slowly rotated the numbers one by one. After 6-7 minutes had passed, a sharp click and snap indicated that the lock was open. Excited, MissM opened it and unbolted the doors of the container. Something inside stirred and made a sudden movement in the dark. Suddenly fearful of whatever thing was inside, MissM took out her hidden silenced gun quickly and peered in. That was her only mistake, and the final one. The trio of red dots zoomed directly on her head, and stopped. MissM's eyes widened for a brief instant. THRACKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKK!!! The plasma beam burned its way through MissM's head, leaving a gaping hole where once her forehead had been. MissM's eyes stayed widened, as she fell back without a murmur, all life signs snuffed out. The Battle Royale II Containment Unit #12 came running to the spot seconds later, and hurriedly sealed off the doors of the container back again. Some of them looked at MissM's still body, and one of them grabbed at his radio. MISSMACABRE IS DEAD!!!!!
