Ok so how does Surfthechannel, Mega video, Hulo, Tudou, Vreel, Lycos cinema, and many many more sites get away with hosting new movies and or television shows online for free 24/7? I am not going to get in trouble for streaming a video, sorry it's near impossible.

If you can try and read carefully and react to what's actually being said it would be helpful. Nobody said every streaming site is illegal.

personally - i dont know how people can stand watching movies on their PC - ditting at a desk.

since the topic has come up - here's exactly how i feel about 'stealing' movies.

I see every movie in the theatre i can (child friendly)

I buy a ton of movies - more than anyone i've ever known.

and i download a ton too.

if what i download is good - i replace it with the origional.

if it sucks - fuck whoever made it. I know art is subjective but when i'm not satisfied as a customer i dont believe in paying for it. If it goes for food or any other products - why should movies be any different.

mostly though - i download movies that are impossible to find anywhere else ... or movies i'm too impatient for - i want to see it before the DVD is available.

i know that you hear some of these arguements coming from people who are full of shit. But i'm not... which i've proven over 10,000 times.
I've supported the people who make films more than any other person i know.

i think if you're downloading something because you cant afford it - yeah its stealing. but the grey area is borrowing. People lend films to each other .. what the hell can anyone do about that ?

the worst fuckers are the people who mass produce copies illegally and sell them... or in this case illegally stream them. Its hard for me to imagine people watching movies this way and only this way - but i guess it happens.

personally i couldnt be satisfied with that - i like to hold a disk in my hand - i like to enjoy the special features. I like to watch a movie wherever, whenever i want independant of my computer and the internet.

ultimately - its a shame that the prices of DVDs didnt reflect what they should really be. if the prices were decent more people would but them instead of ripping them off. you'd think they'd have learned something from the music industry - but as usual - the boys at the top are short sighted gluttons.

Streaming is not the same thing as downloading. If I downloaded the film, I'd have it on my computer and be able to watch it again without going back to the website and re-clicking the link. If Streaming=downloading, then every single video any of us have watched on Youtube is taking up space on our harddrive. That is simply not true. My computer would have run out of space years ago.

Itsn't a copy of the youtube file saved to your temp files folder on your C: drive?

Which is why I hope digital distribution NEVER eclipses hard copies. When I purchase a movie (and I've purchased MANY movies) I want a hard copy, some inserts, and hopefully a cool package. I hate DD and refuse to purchase any movie that way. That's why I could never steal movies. I've downloaded or streamed a few to see how I like them (if I can't get it from Netflix) but always buy what I like.
