Ugh, yeah Be Kind Rewind was terrible! I did see 2 good Jack Black films last night though. Tropic Thunder & Kung Fu Panda.

You know, Charles Dickens' "A Christmas Carol" has such strong horrific elements--hey, it's a real ghost story!-- that it should really be on the list somewheres. When I was a young lad, the horror elements were what attracted me to it, and they were what kept me coming back to the story in its various incarnations. The 1951 version with Alastair Sim is a favorite of many, and it's my personal favorite version.

...as soon as I saw your name in this thread, I could have swore I knew EXACTLY what you were going to say.

Even though it's not horror, Santa Claus Conquers the Martians is utterly fantastic. Watched it at some point near the last two Christmases - it's awful in every way, but so wonderfully entertaining.
