Exclamation Maplewoods

Hey. I saw something on a website today about a zombie film called MAPLEWOODS about a military town taken over by zombies.

I was wondering if anybodys seen it and if it's any good - I cant say I've heard of it before.

Also, are there any cool zombie films that have come out in the last few years? I've seen resi evil, 28 days later and the new dawn of the dead and I thirst for more..... bwahaha.

Thumbs down Maplewoods is garbage!

This movie is a complete waste of time and money. I bought it and can honestly say it's one of the worst movies I've ever seen. Oh and no, it's not so bad it's good either! It's just horrible! Nothing more then a bunch of idiots (who don't even deserve to be called actors) running around in their backyard screaming like morons as they try (and fail) to rip off George Romero's work. The director (who has no buisness calling himself a director based on this piece of crap movie) has offered nothing new, original or interesting with Maplewoods. Lousy acting, lousy effects and the most horrible dialogue ever written makes this movie totally unwatchable.

If you like cheap camcorder films with zombies, there are far better films then this piece of garbage to look into.

Worst movie I've bought hands down!!!!

Cheers for the advice.

I'm still looking for something really good in a zombie film though. When I was playing Resi Evil: Code Veronica there was a rotting zombie locked in a cage in the pouring rain, banging against the sides. I liked the effect. I think the army uniforms really look good on zombies too, for some reason. You just don't get such a feel of grubbyness and wet, muddy, rotting concreteness like that in the films I've seen - romero films included. resi evil wa good cos of all te metal walls and everything, it made it claustrophobic. but really they're all too clean.

Hey if you haven't checked out any of the Asian zombie films you might want to give a few a look as I think they may fit what you're looking for. Here's some titles to look for if you haven't done so already.

1. Versus
2. Bio Zombie
3. Bio Cops
4. Junk

There's a few others but I can't remember the titles off hand. There's a couple low budget video zombie films that you might like in Meat Market 1 & 2. They're real small budget films but they're not too bad if you can overlook a lot of the flaws associated with shot on video movie.

Happy Hunting! :)
