Fish

Does anyone else have fish as pets? I love them. I have a Betta fish named Bruce, and he's an elegant dark blue with green areas. Adds a great touch to a boring dorm room.

My college roommate had a goldfish named Buddy that lived for 2 years. He definitely added a little something to the room. I'm thinking about getting some fish for our new apartment since the boy is so allergic to animals.

Get a Betta! They're cheap and don't need much. Plus they're mean as hell, which is always fun.

I used to have 5 big aquariums in my house back in N.O. No salt water tho(too much of a bitch to maintain). 1 tank had my Oscar and 2 angel fish, another an eel, 3 had my crawfish, 4 had catfish and the 5th had all my feeder fish.

I have a canary goldfish and 4 minnows as well as a loach. They're happy together.

I had a similar situation. I had a Betta, which despite my best efforts just died. Then I tried some other "easy" fish, a few guppies (which ate each other) and a catfish (which lasted several months).

Then I had a mouse problem and got two cats, which have been the best pets ever and I also don't have any vermin.

I always did want a sprawling salt water tank, though with my history I'd probably just kill them all. :(

The jokes dont even end with your pets, damn, rayne has her work cut out for her if she is going to challenge you for the funniest award next year.

I have had many fish in my life, all freshwater. right now though we have a rabbit and a dog. We dont have room for fish right now, nor the desire to maintain (or feed) any.

However, I do eat a lot of fish, does that count?

My friend had some big fish...a giant gurami? something like that.
Every time I went near the tank, the thing would swim up against the glass and silently scream at me.
