Ladies and Gentlemen, the WINNER of the Comedy Movie Tournament... and HDC's Chosen KING OF ALL COMEDY MOVIES... MONTY PYTHON AND THE HOLY GRAIL ![]() Many hearty thanks go to all HDC-ers who voted and made this tournament a hugely successful one. Thank you NeverEnding, Despare, Urge, Austin and others who had a hand in the initial stages of the tournament and helped me chose the movies. And thank you, each and every voter in HDC, who made yet another effort of mine into a whopping and resounding success. Thank you, folks!! Until the next one comes along...I ll say, Ciao! **************************TOURNAMENT CLOSED**************************

i know this one would win.
we take it for granted now - but i dont know of any other comedy that is as funny as this one - so consistantly. there isnt a 30 second spot where something really funny isnt occuring. make that - 10 seconds

i love blazing saddles ... but Monty Python and the Holy Grail is still so much funnier to me
funny thing is that they were both made at roughly the same time, both were period pieces, both had the director/s acting in the film, and they both had the same kind of ending (shattering the 4th wall)
