Urge, there is an actor that you are a spitting image of, but I am at a complete loss as to who he is right now....

Sunday morning !

up early - packed up our stuff - ready to load up the car - but first - breakfast.
went to some trendoid place but the food was good and i wanted to fill up because when i'm at the con i forget to eat.

Which made me remember :

we did get a lunch in the food court area saturday afternoon. Sid Haig comes in and sits down at a table full of people he doesnt know and has his lunch - which i got a kick out of.

Also - Saturday afternoon i picked up the photo i had done with Kristy Swanson - and to my suprise it looked good.. once i scan it and the Wes Craven photo i'll post them.

In the lineup before we got in i took a couple of pics ... one of my kid with some big gun thing in front of the star wars freaks area and one witha Chaotic poster (some Yu Gi Yo - like - card game he likes)

so as soon as we hit the con we run right to Jeremy Bullock .. no lineup.
He was great with my kid - had a little chat and we got his picture - my son was thrilled ..

we jumped right next door to Henry Winklers lineup as he only had one person there. as soon as he saw my boy he jumped up, ran out in front and started chatting with Mark about the books he writes for kids. We bought a couple ... I told him I wanted to bring a rubber shark to get signed but i thought he would have punched me in the stomach :)
My wife found him to be a bit 'theatrical' but i thought he was great for my boy - he really showed him a ton of attention and really pulled him in.

lol, I went to highschool with the Suicide Girl in the middle. It was a strange double take situation when I ran into her at the booth. Also, Henry Winkler did end up signing at least one shark on Saturday :D

We then stopped by the Anchor Bay booth again. the 1st year i brought my son he was watching the TV screen in their booth - they were showing some of the Hellboy animated movie (that would be coming out several months later)

The girl at the booth thought he was cute and asked to take his picture.
We stop by every year since to say hi and get a pic of them together.

So after chatting a bit - she says 'wait right there', proceeds to pack up the Hellboy animated toys they had on display and gives them to my son ... he was on cloud 9 .. definately a much better day for him already.

I love tAnchor Bay, and i love this girl - they couldn't have picked a better person to represent them.

at this point my wife and son take off for the gaming area (they have a Chaotic display there) and i head up to the Ruggero Q and A.

I sat front and centre and brought a tripod this year so i have a steady high quality video of the complete session.

From there I ran downstairs and got in Renee O'connor's line - and got my copy of Alien Apocalypse signed and chatted for a bit. Also bought a movie she was selling that she made. Thats why i like the festival - you can get a chance to find stuff like that you cant get anywhere else.

I ran over to the Anchor Bay booth again to see if Robert Hall showed up yet (Lightning Bug)

She told me to RUN .. his panel was on in 1 minute - he just left... so i raced up to that and enjoyed the clips from "Laid to Rest" (gory as hell) his new film and the Q & A after. His wife was with him - the star of Laid to Rest. From what i saw - you guys are gonna like this one.

Things are winding down now - the line at Sean Austin's Q and A was to damn long to bother getting into - and I was too tired to hang around for Sid Haigs .. i just took a few more shots of anime kids - and star wars guys :

but on my last visit to the main floor of the con I saw that Karen David was back at her booth.

I forgot to mention i met her Saturday night as well ... She is the co-star of the new Scorpion King 2.
Beautiful girl, really friendly, bubbly and a pleasure to be around.
she is relatively unknown (mostly a model) so no one else was around. I got a couple of gorgeous photos signed - plus a poster - which i lost coming back from the Wes Craven thing. I had told her that I wanted to come back with my son as he was a big fan of #1 so he would think it pretty cool to meet the star of #2.

So as it happened - we caught her before leaving Sunday afternoon and i did get a new poster (signed to mark) as well as a couple of pictures.

She's an absolute sweetheart . her mom was with her - looking very proud (and very pretty also)

and of course we ran out and picked up the movie yesterday.

I dont care if it's good or not ... my son will dig it i'm sure :)

Last thing we did was to grab the last couple of Tartan titles i didnt have, a couple of other DVDs, ... stopped to pick up the Wes Craven photoshoot pic .. and that was that ... 2008 - is over.

We'll do this again next yer - if i still have the strength :)

after i get them loaded i'll post some incidental pics - and some of the people who dressed up.

so thats that - for now.

I ve been following it ever since you started posting...and its been such an amazing experience, Dave. Wish I could make it to one of these events, and take some time out of my SSDD scheduled daily life.

Seriously, your son is very lucky to have a Dad like you. And the little guy is really going places, in every sense of the word. :)

Thanks for the pics, and the descriptions. I really loved this thrill ride, and it was real fun sharing it with you and Dave Jr.
