this has always impressed me. Blue whales, the largest animal to ever live, as far as we know.

nothing to my knowledge was ever as massive. there were some dinosaurs that were longer, but i tthink as far as overall size, nothing beat the blue whale.

I have seen some good footage of gulper eels, just sitting with their huge mouths open in the dark, waiting for a wayward fish. They made good odds for themselves.
