again - i know citizen kane is the better film - and why ...
but due to my age and timing, the Shining had a far greater personal impact. i can still remember my stomach dropping in the opening credit sequence where the airplane/camera was soaring over the car on the way to the Overlook, and veered off..to that haunting Wendy Carlos/Rachel Elkind score.
