As awesome as Englund is, I actually think it would be cool to see somebody else's take on the role.
That said, I'd prefer no remake at all...but that isn't particularly likely.

Ugggghhhhhhh.
I dont care if they remake it or not. I dont care who plays what role. If the trailer sparks my intrest Ill check it out, if not, I woulnt. Im tired of bitching about remakes, watch it or not. Who cares.

Englund has played that role more than anyone has reprised any role I can think of (except maybe Doug Bradley as Pinhead). I'd say maybe give him a break and see how someone else hacks it. That is, of course, if they really have to make a remake at all.
Maybe Depp can play Krueger this time...

Englund is a fine actor..I was joking about Depp. He could never be threatening or creepy enough to play Krueger. He'll always be "that guy from 21 Jump St." to me, seeing him try to be scary would be hilarious. Quote:
