Further Down The Spiral
Another one has perished. The Ferretchucker met his demise thanks to a cruel punishment which let those who lost the last challenge choose their own fate. I’m still alive. That’s all that matters right? I wish I could have seen that young man’s face twist in agony as he was taken from this world. I don’t know exactly why but things like that have begun to interest me as of late. Perhaps the fact that the teams were split up helped me realize that I have to kill everybody eventually and that I can’t be afraid to do so. No, I have to embrace the pain that I have to cause which is why I did a little experiment today. Ferretchucker had left one of his little fury buddies behind when he met his maker so I scooped the creature up and took it into the woods. After spending a bit of time thinking I decided that the best way to off this little rodent was to use the most primitive and basic weapon I could find, a stick. At first I was a little nervous but I ended up being surprised, and a little bit disgusted at myself. You see, I couldn’t believe how much I enjoyed that thick wet popping sound as the stick pierced the stomach of the animal. I could have never imagined that I would have smiled as the warm blood ran down my hand and fell onto the ground creating little puddles of dark mud. Maybe I have a chance after all.
