Paul Naschy stars as a mercenary who double-crosses his partner/girlfriend Meiko and gets shot for his troubles. Failing unconscious, he is taken in by a wealthy doctor who has two beautiful daughters. His recuperation is slow, and in the meantime he is seduced by daughters and apparently haunted by the ghost of their mother. Strange things are going on at the house and if he is going to survive the night, he'll have to escape the house.


THE LIVING AND THE DEAD: TLA

With bankruptcy looming, desperate Donald Brocklebank must leave his bedridden wife alone with their son James - a schizophrenic man-child. In a horrific fit of dementia James abandons his medication, locks the doors, and plays nurse. THE UNDERTOW (special edition): SRS Cinema

Six friends enter the strange town of Old Mines for a weekend float trip.They quickly realize that the town is not friendly to strangers, and they are pressured to leave by the police. When the friends decide to continue their float trip anyway, terrifying secrets of the town surface. A seven-foot-tall deformed maniac, known by the townsfolk as 'The Boy' is kept under lock and key by the town's mayor. The Boy's purpose is simple: kill outsiders. The Mayor of Old Mines releases The Boy and the maniac's hunt begins. One by one, the campers on their float trip are ripped to gory shreds by the enraged, deformed, hulking Boy. But there is great mystery to The Boy. Who is his father? Who is his mother? How did he become so dangerous? - News on the streets of New York after January's devastating monster attack is that the infamous Cloverfield footage will be hitting DVD retailers Suncoast and FYE in an exclusive limited-edition release. The documentary footage of the creature's rampage will finally be made public in a crushed steel-book case.

The Matt Reeves directed monster flick will be available to own on April 22, 2008, and should retail at around $27.95.

The film itself will be presented in anamorphic widescreen, along with an English Dolby Digital 5.1 Surround track.

Extras will include :

• a commentary by Director Matt Reeves,
• 4 featurettes (The Making of Cloverfield, Cloverfield Visual Effects, I Saw It! It's Alive! It's Huge, and Clover Fun),
• 6 additional scenes (Congrats Rob, When You're in Japan, I Call That a Date, It's Going to Hurt, Alt Ending #1, Alt Ending #2), and
• Multiple eastereggs.

- George A. Romero's Diary of the Dead, his latest zombie fare, has been given a May 20 DVD release date from Genius Products.

Full specs and art coming soon.

With a story mixing elements of "The Blair Witch Project" and the long-running "Dead" series, the film will follow a group of college students shooting a horror movie in the woods who stumble upon a real zombie uprising. When the onslaught begins, they seize the moment as any good film students would, capturing the undead in a "cinema verite" style that causes more than the usual production headaches.

Before FINAL DESTINATION, there was SOLE SURVIVOR. Directed by Thom Eberhardt, This chilling 1982 film tells of a young women who is the sole survivor of an airplane crash. Disregarding the warnings from a psychic actress friend, Denise tries to get on with her life, but she has somehow cheated death, and the Grim Reaper sends his minions to bring her to him.


SWEENEY TODD: THE DEMON BARBER OF FLEET STREET: Paramount



Johnny Depp re-teams with director Tim Burton for this adaptation of the hit Broadway musical about the Demon Barber of Fleet Street. Depp plays Sweeney Todd, a man who becomes a deranged murderer seeking revenge after being falsely imprisoned. To add to the macabre nature of his crimes, he enlists the help of his lover, Mrs. Lovett, who disposes of the victims by baking them into meat pies—sought after by all of London.

- Hell's Ground, Pakistan’s first splatter flick, in the tradition of Friday the 13th and The Texas Chainsaw Massacre, delivers spine-tingling thrills when an attractive group of teens pile into a van that runs out of gas in the middle of a dark, mysterious forest. Their ghoulish nightmare begins when rotting, fresh-eating zombies and a decapitated head-toting, screaming banshee-like hitchhiker begin to terrorize them at every turn. But when a mysterious figure, dressed in a blood-drenched burqa, appears sporting a medieval weapon dripping in gore, even the teens’ prayers won’t save them from a night of savage, demented horror.

They claim it was banned in Pakistan itself...it looks extremely cheesy and bad, much like our cheap 80s horror. Just check out the makeup effects, and you ll see what I mean.:D

I watched The Cook while being bored at work, and wasted an hour and half of my life...What a horrible movie even if your into dumb cheesey horror...I wish i had more hands so i can give this film four thumbs down

"Horror genre" haven't been warmly welcomed by the mass audiences here in our subcontinent. Audiences more likely to enjoy the family drama, romantic or action thrillers. But the main facts that made failure this genre to establish here are poor makings, funny make up effects and the weak storyline. Meantime, Bollywood (India) done some 'watchable' work in recent years but most of them were sadly influenced by the foreign horror films. But we hope in coming years there will be some good productions by the expert or knowledgeable hands who have some ideas & cares about this particular genre. Because we always have a devoted fan followings to the genre and which is rising rapidly these days.
So I like to give claps for those people of Pakistan who at least made a brave move and tried do some 'sophisticated' works though their work may go in vain or worthless to watch for any horror fan.

I remember seeing the trailer awhile back and being baffled by how mindnumbingly horrid it looked...
