does that still apply if the sample is sped up or slowed down?
i thought if it was changed alittle bit it was ok to use, i have a couple of friends that have movie clips in there songs and are selling them just fine.

Also, what happens if it isn't in quite the same order?


Simply being, I have my album finished, and want to throw it on there as a freebie to everyone who actually listens to my music. I'm not planning on selling it as an actual track all alone. It would be my music they are buying, and they'd get that song for free.

i think once you record it as your own intellectual property - or whatever they call it ... (if it's made for public viewing/listening) it could still be a problem.

i know that Kevin Smith was asked to take down (on u-tube) some clips where he appeared in talk shows - he wasn't trying to sell those ..

Oh no, quite the contrary, I do want the truth. My question is simply, if I am unable to sell the song, can it be put on my album as a "hidden/free track"?
