			They range in size/success I guess you could say. Most of them are known nationally which in itself is relatively large, but no, I don't see it being available in a huge portion of the overseas market. Does that make them bad though? I'll let you judge - I've found stuff from most of them pretty easily online.

			I didn't say that though, just that they weren't garage bands...there seems to be the general vibe in this thread that if something doesn't make a large impact on the international market that this is a negative thing. Personally, I'd prefer any of the bands I'd mentioned than most of the music from AUS that has seen more success abroad.

			wasn't mental as anything an australian band ? i remember there was a bit of an australian wave in the 80's after the success of Men at Work .. is Skyhooks another one ? and Lime Spiders ? i used to think split enz was australian until i was set straight ... i loved those guys. one awfiul band came out of australia - i cant remember if it was the little river band or air Supply
