Help!?!?!?! What's That Movie?

Hey guys,

I have been trying to find a horror movie and can't remember the name for the life of me. I saw it about 10-12 years ago. All I can remember about it is that there is a gold robot with red eyes that kills its creator and his wife I believe. I think the robot had three wheels as its way of getting around...I have searched the internet relentlessly and couldn't find anything, so I figured this was the place to come. Any help would be greatly appreciated. From what I remember, it looked like it may have been a mid 1980's to early 1990's movie. I remember the robot having a saw as an arm, but I also think it could change its attachments somehow.

The movie is Hardware released 1990.

Yeah, I had to contact a shady guy from the great North to find out where to get a copy... even traded an animal for it.
