Free XBox Live Arcade Game

Most of you probably already know this but until Sunday you can download the XBLA Game "Undertow" for free. It's Microsoft's way of saying they're sorry for the shity XBox Live performance lately (although mine's been fine). If you've already bought the game you can call MS and they'll give you your 800 points back.

Sweet deal.I'm gonna go download this right away.I wish they would make more free XBLA games.There are a few but there pretty crappy like Yaris.And the good ones I don't hear about til it's to late.

This one's only free because of the Live problems and free for a SHORT period of time (this Wed. through this Sun... I'm posting it a couple days late heh). It's a fun game, kind of weird but it looks nice at least. Yaris blew, but Aegis (sp?) Wings was a good free game.

Aegis Wings was a good game.I also got Texas Hold Em for free when it first came out.There's been a few other free ones to but I'm always to late to snag um up.

Ha, it's funny how little you xbox folks are used to getting thrown your way for free...good for you though I guess.
Just too bad their entire network/online gaming isnt free, I will never understand that shit...

If they made xbox live free I imagine that the service would be pretty shitty.Really when you think about 50 bucks for a whole year isn't that bad.

Wait, which reliable online network do you use that regularly gives out free games? PS3's isn't a great service really and home doesn't look to fix all the real problems and the Wii's network service is almost non-existent unless you want to buy old console games.

I wasn't really referring to getting given out "free" games on the PSN, just that the online play/network...etc isn't charged.

What does that have to do with anything?...what real problems would an application like HOME ever help fix?

I've played online with both...the servers are on par with eachother.
So promotions aside, I think it's shitty that x360 really needs to charge $50 a year (yes even though it's a relatively small amount) when PS3 does not.
I know the prices...I know you already pay enough...that can be said system wide for both.
The fact of the matter is, they don't need to charge, but they do, and I think that's unfortunate.

I know I work for PS, and you guys probably think I'm just jumping in here to shit on the competition, but it's not like that....I've played the 360, I like it (in fact far more than the original), and I find the systems pretty much comparable in many senses...a few points here and there are better/worse with each system, but this is something I feel I can justifiably say....I think it's crappy that x360 online/live is a charged service.

Matchmaking and friend tracking. The Live service is more reliable, easier to navigate, and a better fit for playing games with friends. I like the PS3, hell I was playing UT3 for a while the other day, I just figured from your comment you wanted to stir a discussion up. I didn't mean fix it because it's broken but fix it up so you can do some of the things you can't do now.
