28 Months Later!!!! Yes!!

Oh boy, this makes me super-excited!!! :)

In March 2007, Boyle announced plans to create a third chapter of the film franchise, which will be given the title 28 Months Later with a 2009 release date,[34] thus creating a trilogy. Boyle has stated that his thoughts are to set the movie in Russia.[35]

In June 2007, it was announced that if DVD sales of the film did well Fox Atomic would consider producing the third film.[36]

In July 2007, while promoting the film Sunshine, Boyle revealed that he has a story formulating for the next film "There is an idea for the next one, something which would move [the story] on. I've got to think about it, whether it's right or not." Boyle also revealed that he would return as the director.[37] Alex Garland might be considered in writing the story with Boyle, but no announcements have been made.

i really liked the first one - liked the idea of the 2nd (but felt it wasn't really pulled off well) - so i'm open to a third

(which should make Boyle sleep easier at night)

Ugh... Days was amazing. Weeks sucked. Great premise, but there were so many glaring holes in the plot it became painful to watch. I really hope that Months redeems the series.

A very good news. Hope everything goes fine. I liked both days & weeks and I think in the genre 28 weeks was the best of 2007.

Yeah, I honestly love "Days" and "Weeks" equally. I can't pick one over the other. Say what you want about "Days" being superior.... but in all fairless, they both kick a lot of ass.

I think when "Months" comes out (and if it's fairly good), we will have witnessed the greatest zombie series of all time.... possibly better than Romero's.

And, I mean, Resident Evil ended on a very very very sour note for me too.

meh

I really, really liked "Days" & thought "Weeks" was interesting and fun... but what else needs saying here? I'll wait for DVD for this one (as I do with most films that start repeating themselves.)

I'm much more interested in Romero's Diary of the Dead and Adam Green's upcoming (hopefully) Dead West

Yeah, I enjoyed the first two like everybody else, but even attempting to compare this series to that of Romero's is quite ridiculous.

And Cilian Murphy sucks.

this sounds good news as i liked both days and weeks

my only snag with weeks was why did Robert Carlyle (Don) sudenly get a mission when everyone else that was infected just went mad and wanted to kill.
