hi ive never seen one before which ones would you recommend for a beginner?

You might as well start by watching some good ones,

try "Ichi the Killer" or "Audition". Another good one, although its not much of a horror persay, is "Oldboy" (its a Korean movie), and maybe try "Battle Royale".
