Since when has The Burning been out on DVD? I picked it up the other day for 10$. I was suprised to see it, along with Scarecrows. The two look like they are part of a collection, same MGM format.

This one comes in a nifty 2-D and 3-D version. The 3-D edition has 4-pairs of Blue/Red 3-D glasses for your viewing enjoyment. The 2-D version only offers the same terrible movie…sans the gimmick.

It's also known as Last Rites or Gangs of the Dead (the title I own it under). It's a bad zombie flick but I like it, some funny (if unintentional) parts and some ok gore. Here's the drinking game...

"The Drinking Game:
This drinking game is to be played with the movie Gangs of the Dead… I suggest getting some 40’s for this bad boy.

1 drink – every time a zombie oozes green mouthwash out of his mouth
1 drink – every time someone uses the “N” word
1 drink – every time someone says “dawg” or “dog” for the less urban of you out there

The Step & Fetch It Challenge: Every time a character does something that could be conceived of as a stereotype for his or her race, everyone has to yell “Domino, motherfucker!” The last person to do this has to kill their drink… hope you’re not playing with 40’s!"

No where near. Traditional zombie fare (nothing new) and some stuff between the gangs and cops who are trapped together in a wherehouse. Some bad acting and good gore made it one of my "like it becuase it's bad" movies. At one point one of the gang members was backed down by zombies and said something like; "Green, black... we're both minorities!".
