It's still one of the best monster flicks you can watch. It's got a lot of soul, it looks great, it moves real fast and it's crazy. That scene when Kong busts loose in New York and goes aping around, it's still completely nuts after all these years. My God, the movie's almost 75 years old and it still works.

Understood, but its not really a horror movie just cause of a giant gorilla, at least not in my opinion.

Oh, it's got a lot more than a giant gorilla. It's got a lot of monsters. And they are hungry! King Kong is considered a horror movie by many people.

I agree the original is the best. The 1976 version is ok. The 2005 version is nearly as good as the original. It's just not quite there.

I'd say the original is just funny, the 76 version was the best and if you ignored the first 45 minutes, the 2005 would be slightly above the original. Why simpsons movie? Why vanilla sky? Why alien ressurection? Where's Halloween 2? H2 and H1 go hand in hand. They're one big movie.

I had never even heard of it until just now. Seriously, its called "Kaw"?

Why not make a horror movie about bats and call it "Eek! Eek!"?

I Checked to see if maybe it was a Slither style, tongue in cheek horror comedy, but not according to the IMDB page....
