'Pelts' by Argento

I dug this Masters of Horror film. It has typical Argento plot holes (people doing things for no good reason) but I recommend it. Really creepy and macabre. It is character driven and Meatloaf does a great job. Honestly if it weren't him, this film might not work... Dumbest part for me was when the dude uses all his strength to open that little trap, and it doesn't cut his hands, but it cuts his skull no problem...

I enjoyed Pelts but I much preferred "Jenifer". I'm thinking of rewatching the both of them on the same night to compare because my view on horror shifts greatly with my mood.

as an episode from a tv show it wasn't bad. the story wouldn't lend itself well to a full movie. it's just a competent short story. worth watching once. ps. it's no worse than imprint

I thought it was ok.

Not his best work anyway, but it was slightly better than Jenifer. Slightly.

Yeah, I definately didn't see the hype about Imprint. Why was it banned again? (rhetorical question by the way)

it seemed like with imprint miike was just trying to shock whereas with his other movies the sick shit was in context. argento is another favourite of mine, i guess it's just easier to tell a good story in at least 90 mins

maybe what makes Miike's Imprint disturbing to most, is because it takes the truth about life -- that it is utterly mysterious and as with people, can be thoroughly cruel -- and shoves it straight into our faces. it makes us uncomfortable to be reminded of the things we struggle hard to put shields up against. it challenges our comfortable lives.

i don't see his contribution to the series as anything out of his usual horror-in-context style.

I thought this episode was fuckin' great it had me laughing my ass off at all the splatter and Meatloaf's obssessions.
Imprint was definatley twisted as hell and is most disturbing episode I've seen so far.
Have you guys read the comic of Jenifer that Bernie Wrightson did?
