I never realized how much I love talking baby talk.
With my old age and all those drugs when I was younger, this is something I really excel at!
My son is very lucky...til he hits Kindergarten that is:)

Someone mentioned Scrubs...This is a jewel of a show! I discovered it through re-runs and now watch the new shows on Thursday night.

I love your poem crabby.

Oh hey, hi! Yeah. Baby talk...I call the cats little snookum wookums. And of course poo nuts and hoochie poochie are a form of baby talk.

That "java jive" song is actually something that Manhattan Transfer did, I believe they took an instrumental piece by the Ink Spots and came up with bizarre coffee-obsessed lyrics, recorded themselves singing them, and married the two recordings together, or something like that. The result is a song that "sounds" old but has unusually weird "new" lyrics.

I saw you sliding out the bar.
I saw you slipping out the back door, baby.
Don't even try and find a line this time, it's fine. Darling, you're still
divine.

You don't love me at all, but don't think that it bothers me at all.
You're a bad-hearted boy-trap, babydoll, but you're...
You're so damn hot.

So now you're headed to your car.
You say it's dinner with your sister, sweetie.
But darling look at how you're dressed. Your best suggests
another kind of guest.

You don't love me at all, but don't think that it bothers me at all.
You're a bad-hearted boy-trap, babydoll, but you're...
You're so damn hot.

So who's this other guy you've got?
Which other rubes are riding hot-shot, sugar?
I could have swore you said before, "No more, for sure." What'd I
believe you for?

You don't love me at all, but don't think that it bothers me at all.
You're a bad-hearted boy-trap, babydoll, but you're...
You're so damn hot.

I love fuzzy animals, but I hate fuzzy teeth. Ya know where it feels like they're wearing little sweaters? Regular soda does that to me every time. That's one of the reasons I prefer diet soda. Hate that fuzzy teeth thing. *runs off to go brush teeth*

To Mona! (This is going to be a weird song dedication thread for me now, for random reasons.....)

Sit back, matter of fact, teasing, toying, turning, chatting, charming, hissing, playing the crowd.
Play that song again, another couple Klonopin, a nod, a glance, a half-hearted bow.
Oh such grace, oh such beauty, and lipstick and callous and fishnets and malice.
Oh Darling, you're a million ways to be cruel.
I should, I wish I could, maybe if you were, I would, a list of standard-issue regrets.
One last 80 proof, slouching in the corner booth.
Baby, it's as good as it gets.
Oh such grace, oh such beauty. So precious, suspicious, and charming, and vicious.
Oh darling, you're a million ways to be cruel.
