I disagree.

When Frank told Donnie the world would end in so many days, I think he was mentally talking about Donnie's world, which would come crashing down because of the death of his girfriend, along with his mom and sister. I think we're told that the world is ending, but Donnie's death guardian, Frank, was simply warning Donnie that if he didn't act on that last day, his world would be totally annihilated.

Just an opinion.

I had never heard of this film before a friend began talking to me about it. My friend was amazed that I had never seen it and told me that I must see it because he knew I would like it so he basically forced his copy upon me and I watched it and loved it.

The film was different you had to think it was well done and had a creepy atmosphere and Frank was well fitted in this film. One to watch alone so that you do not get the annoying "I dont understand", "whats going on?", " I dont get it" etc and so that you can concentrate and really think about it.
The ending was great really a film I enjoyed and you can imagine how heartbroken I was when I seen I couldnt get my own copy for a sorry amount of £2 (yes thats just how broke I am).

I would recommend this film to anyone who likes to think a little bit when watching films not for those who just want to see some gore but well worth a watch I believe.

I have nothing against people that make a few grammatical errors, Im not a grammar nazi. If I pointed out every typo and every instance of poor grammar on this site, I'd never get to sleep. Besides, I make mistakes too.

That said, your post made my brain want to cry...

I really liked it too. In fact, this thread is making me want to see it again. I knew I should have bought this one the first time around instead of renting it.

Speaking of buying it, which version is best?

Ive only seen it once, and I aquired it though...uh....less than legal means. The file didnt specify which version it was (Original or Director's Cut)

I can get either fairly cheap...which one is the better investment?

i bought the non directors cut right when it came out, after i saw it first time around. the fucking thing came to over 30 bux. now its sold so many copies that the directors cut is half that price. i guess its a good thing since someone ganked my copy and ill have to re buy it at some point.

Around here, I can get the original cut for $12 and the Director's for $16...
