Well when you say "true histories" do you mean just loosely based on, or actual fact.
Amityville Horror is based on a "true" story, however whether you believe that the house was really haunted or not is up to you, but a guy really did massacre his whole family there. Bram Stoker's Dracula is loosely based on Vlad the Impaler, but you could hardly call it a true history due to the fact vampires dont exist! :p
