I think it fits more into the Thriller category. Definatley not straight up horror flick.

Genres are all subjective.

For instance, someone who lived through Vietnam would think that Jacob's Ladder is pretty fucking horrifying.

I did not live through Vietnam, but I consider it horror.

i saw jacobs ladder recently, and i gotta say its a damn good horror film. didnt deliver any scares, and started off kind of weak, but it built up and eventually unfolded into an amazing horror movie.

not everyone thinks that old school is where its at. I know that statement is sure to garner a shit ton of turd flingin' my way but i could give two shits about movies made before i was born (with a handful and some hitchcock aside). I was born around the same time as the slasher, exploitation and general gore and i will continue to grow with it .
